Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of GoodStand (getgoodstand.com, app.getgoodstand.com and the GoodStand iOS app), operated by VentureFactory. By creating an account you agree to them.
1. What GoodStand is — and is not
GoodStand is an organizational tool: it tracks deadlines, stores and classifies documents, explains government mail in plain words, and prepares filing information. GoodStand is not a law firm, accounting firm, or registered agent, and nothing in the product constitutes legal or tax advice. Filing obligations remain yours; verify deadlines against the official sources we link and consult your CPA or attorney for advice.
2. AI assistance
Document recognition, letter summaries and assistant answers are produced with AI. We route low-confidence extractions to you for confirmation, and answers cite their sources — but AI output can contain mistakes. Review important dates and amounts before acting.
3. Your account and content
- You are responsible for your credentials; we recommend enabling two-factor authentication.
- You retain all rights to the documents and data you upload. You grant us only the license needed to store, process and display them to you and to people you authorize.
- You may invite members (e.g. an accountant); you control and can revoke their access at any time.
- Don't upload content you have no right to store, and don't use the service to break the law.
4. Beta status and plans
GoodStand is in a founding beta: features may change, and the free beta may later convert to the published paid plans. Prices for the core plans are public; founding members keep their launch price as promised on the site.
5. Availability and liability
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, VentureFactory is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including government penalties resulting from missed deadlines; our total liability is limited to the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
6. Termination
You can close your account at any time (hello@getgoodstand.com). We may suspend accounts that violate these terms or abuse the service, with notice where practicable.
7. Changes and contact
